Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:03 AM PDT Mar. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 PM this
afternoon to 4 am PDT Saturday above 5500 feet...

* timing: rain and higher elevation snow will begin this morning
and continue tonight as snow levels fall.

* Snow accumulations: 6 to 12 inches above 6500 feet with up to
4 inches down to 5000 feet. Heaviest snow south and west of
Susanville.

* Snow levels: 5500 feet today lowering to valley floors by late
tonight.

* Impacts: snow will cause hazardous driving conditions for
roads near and above 5500 feet including Yuba Pass and
fredonyer Summit.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Even light snowfall causes major travel delays, especially during
periods of high traffic volume. Be sure to allow extra time to
reach your destination. Leave extra space between vehicles since
it takes longer to stop on slick roadways.
