... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 am PST Tuesday
above 5000 feet...

* snow accumulations... 6 to 12 additional inches.

* Winds... south 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts.

* Elevation... snow levels will lower to 4000 feet by Tuesday
morning.

* Locations include... Etna Summit on Sawyers Bar Road and other
high terrain roadways.

* Impacts... roadways above 5000 feet will become snow covered at
times and may become impassable, especially above 5500 feet.

... Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of northern California, including southern and
western Siskiyou County.

* Through 4 am PST Tuesday morning.

* The heaviest rain will occur over far western Siskiyou County
as well as The Mount Shasta area.

* Heavy rain combined with some snow melt in higher elevations
will cause rises in streams and rivers and may cause small
streams to flood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

* Flood Watch for
the Scott river near Fort Jones.
* From Tuesday morning to Tuesday evening.
* At 11:30 PM Sunday the stage was 10.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast... flood stage may be reached by late tomorrow morning.

... Gale Warning in effect from midnight tonight to 6 am
Tuesday...

* winds... se 5 to 15 kt... becoming SW 25 to 35 kt with gusts to 45
kt tonight.

* Waves... SW to W 12 to 14 ft at around 13 seconds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

A hazardous seas warning means hazardous sea conditions are
imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should remain in
port,or take shelter until waves subside. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port or
taking shelter in port until hazardous seas subside.
