Sunday...

* timing... snow will begin Sunday afternoon and taper off to
lighter snow Sunday night.

* Main impact... weekend travelers could experience travel
delays, chain controls, and slick roadways.

* Snow amounts... between 2 and 5 inches of snow expected for
mountain passes, including Interstate 5 north of lake Shasta.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.





Flood Warning, Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 1:45 PM PST Feb. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sacramento River at Ord Ferry.
* At 12:45 PM Saturday the stage was 114.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to fluctuate near 114.5 ft thru near tomorrow noon.
* Flood stage 114.0 ft
* monitor stage 110.0 ft
* impact... near 114.0 feet, designated flood stage. Design overflow
level for m&t, 3bs and Goose Lake flood control facilities to
divert flood flows into Butte basin. M&t overflows close River Road
from Ord Ferry Road to Chico Road. Ord Ferry Road is already
closed.
* Impact... near 110.5 feet, head cuts in 3bs Silt Weir start overflow
into Butte basin, flooding dips on Ord Ferry Road west of River
Road. Persistent flows at or above this level increase flooding in
Butte basin. Ord Ferry Road and additional roads in Glenn and
Colusa counties are closed due to flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sacramento River at Tehama bridge.
* At 1:00 PM Saturday the stage was 215.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to fluctuate near 215.5 ft thru near tomorrow noon.
* Flood stage 213.0 ft
* monitor stage 210.0 ft
* impact... near 214.0 feet, between two hundred thirteen and two
hundred fourteen feet the County park becomes inaccessible. At two
hundred forteen feet water begins to enter Driftwood RV fishing
resort on East Bank of river and just north of the County park.
* Impact... near 213.0 feet, flood stage - Road inside trailer park and
turn around site under rr tracks (tehama/Vina road) become
impassible. Water is into area around structures on east side of
river. No structural damage. Sheriff's office issues advisory.
Makes sure pelhams Bay, Snug Harbor, river inn (small trailer Parks
all in a row on east side of River North of bridge) know of
advisory.
* Impact... near 210.0 feet, water into RV park on east side of river.
Tires of trailers get wet.

... A Flood Warning for rain and snowmelt remains in effect until 1130
am PST Sunday for northwestern Lassen County...

* the Canby gauge on The Pit river in Modoc County has fallen below
flood stage but flows will still remain high through Lassen County
this weekend. Reports from the Bieber area still have the river
above bank full and areas along the river could still experience
effects from flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Big Valley including Nubieber and Bieber... and Pittville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
