The Flood Warning continues for
the Sacramento River below Red Bluff diversion dam.
* From late tonight until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 12:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 249.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to fluctuate near 250.0 ft thru this afternoon then
forecast to rise above monitor stage of 250.0 ft this afternoon
then expected to rise above flood stage of 253.0 ft early tomorrow
morning then forecast to crest near 253.0 ft tomorrow morning then
forecast to fluctuate near 253.0 ft thru near tomorrow noon.
* Flood stage 253.0 ft
* monitor stage 250.0 ft
* impact... near 246.0 feet, the river starts to flow eastward into
Sand Slough on the left bank upstream of the gage.

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Sacramento River at Ord Ferry.
* From Thursday morning until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 12:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 113.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to fluctuate near 114.0 ft thru near tomorrow noon.
* Flood stage 114.0 ft
* monitor stage 110.0 ft
* impact... near 114.0 feet, designated flood stage. Design overflow
level for m&t, 3bs and Goose Lake flood control facilities to
divert flood flows into Butte basin. M&t overflows close River Road
from Ord Ferry Road to Chico Road. Ord Ferry Road is already
closed.
* Impact... near 110.5 feet, head cuts in 3bs Silt Weir start overflow
into Butte basin, flooding dips on Ord Ferry Road west of River
Road. Persistent flows at or above this level increase flooding in
Butte basin. Ord Ferry Road and additional roads in Glenn and
Colusa counties are closed due to flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sacramento River at Tehama bridge.* At 1:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 213.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to fluctuate near 213.5 ft thru this evening then forecast
to rise to near 216.0 ft near tomorrow noon with continued rise
expected.
* Flood stage 213.0 ft
* monitor stage 210.0 ft
* impact... near 214.0 feet, between two hundred thirteen and two
hundred fourteen feet the County park becomes inaccessible. At two
hundred forteen feet water begins to enter Driftwood RV fishing
resort on East Bank of river and just north of the County park.
* Impact... near 213.0 feet, flood stage - Road inside trailer park and
turn around site under rr tracks (tehama/Vina road) become
impassible. Water is into area around structures on east side of
river. No structural damage. Sheriff's office issues advisory.
Makes sure pelhams Bay, Snug Harbor, river inn (small trailer Parks
all in a row on east side of River North of bridge) know of
advisory.
* Impact... near 210.0 feet, water into RV park on east side of river.
Tires of trailers get wet.

At 247 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of thunderstorms
along a line extending from near Los Molinos to to near Meridian. The
line was moving to the east-southeast at about 15 mph.

Hail up to a half inch, brief downpours and lightning are likely with
this line and cluster of storms. The strongest cell was near Artois,
Bluegum and Willows moving towards Ordbend, Glenn and Butte City.

Other locations impacted may include...
Oroville, Marysville, Corning, Orland, Willows, Maxwell, Palermo,
Yuba City, Gridley, Colusa, and Tehama.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
