* timing... snowfall increasing this morning and continuing through Saturday
morning.

* Snow amounts... 10 to 14 inches above 5500 feet with up to two
feet highest elevations.

* Main impact... heavy snow over the passes with chain controls
and travel delays likely.

* Other impacts... gusty winds up to 40 mph highest elevations
causing white-out conditions at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
