* waves and surf... west swell increasing to 16 to 20 feet Friday
afternoon and as high as 24 to 28 feet Friday night and
Saturday. Swell period 14 to 15 seconds.

* Timing... Friday afternoon through Saturday

* impacts... large breaking waves... strong rip currents... and
sneaker waves.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf warning indicates that dangerous... battering wave
will pound the shoreline. This will result in very dangerous
swimming conditions... and deadly rip currents.

Warning... which is in effect from 1 am to 7 am PST Friday. A
Small Craft Advisory remains in effect from 7 am Friday to 4 am
PST Saturday.

* Winds: southerly winds 15 to 25 kt... increasing to 25 to 35 kt
overnight. Winds will decrease to 15 to 25 kt Friday morning.

* Seas: combined seas 13 to 17 ft at 15 seconds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occuring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
