... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 11 PM PDT /11 PM
MST/ this evening...

* timing... winds were peaking late this afternoon and will
continue through the evening. Wind will be reduced but still
gusty on Friday.

* Winds... southwest to northwest winds gusting to around 70 mph.
Up to 85 mph in the mountains.

* Impacts... strong winds may damage roofs... trees... and
unsecured structures. Dangerous travel conditions due to
strong Crosswinds and areas of blowing dust bringing
dramatically reduced visibility are expected. Extremely
dangerous boating conditions are expected on area lakes due to
significant wave activity.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Check the forecast and Road conditions before traveling and be
prepared for reduced visibility and strong Crosswinds...
especially in high-profile vehicles. Secure loose objects and
temporary fences. Take down temporary structures such as tents to
avoid damage. Avoid boating on area lakes during periods of
strong winds.
