Issued: 12:48 PM PDT Jun. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
snowmelt in...
northern Mono County in northern California...
southern Lyon County in west central Nevada...

* until 1245 PM PDT Saturday

* releases from Bridgeport Reservoir will be increased today to make
room for additional high releases from Twin Lakes Reservoir
upstream. Flows below Bridgeport will lead to flooding of
agricultural areas, rural roads including but not limited to the
east Walker Road, and may impact property accesses.

* Specific impacts are highly uncertain, but be prepared for very
high flows and impacts to low lying areas around the river. These
flows along the east Walker will be the highest flows so far this
year and the highest flows experienced along this reach in over 15
years.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
