PST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for heavy snow... which is in effect until 4 am PST
Saturday.

* Timing... snowfall will increase later this morning... peak this
afternoon and evening... then taper off early Saturday morning.
Another round of heavy snow will begin Sunday morning... peak
Sunday afternoon and evening before tapering off Monday.

* Snow level... 4500 to 5500 feet. Falling to around 4000 feet by
Monday.

* Additional snow accumulations through Saturday morning... a
trace to 6 inches above 4500 feet... 5 to 10 inches above 8000
feet... locally higher amounts possible above 8000 feet.

* Snow accumulations Sunday through Monday... trace to 5 inches
above 4500 feet... 5 to 12 inches above 6000 feet... 12 to 15
inches above 8000 feet.

* Winds... south 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35.

* Impacts... snowfall will create difficult travel conditions in
the mountains due to slick roads and low visibility. Road
restrictions or closures may be needed.

snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
