* temperatures for San Diego County coastal areas... Orange
County... and the inland Empire... 95 to 105.

* Temperatures for the Santa Ana Mountains and the far inland San
Diego County valleys... 88 to 98.

* Impacts... overexposure to heat could lead to heat illness
especially for people at risk... including the elderly and
children. Pets are also at risk.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 3 PM PDT this
afternoon for strong gusty winds and low humidity along the
coastal foothills...

* winds... areas of northeast to east winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts
to 35 mph... local gusts to 45 mph below the San Gorgonio Pass.

* Relative humidity... lowest of 6 to 10 percent.

* Outlook... increasing humidity... decreasing winds... and cooling
Tuesday into Wednesday.

* Impacts... any fires that start may exhibit extreme fire behavior
and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and heat will contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
