Watches & Warnings

Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 9:12 AM PST Dec. 3, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 6 PM PST this evening
for strong gusty winds and low humidity for the inland Empire and
the San Bernardino County mountains...

* wind... north to northeast winds 20 to 40 mph with gusts to 45
mph on the coastal slopes of the mountains and through the
Cajon Pass.

* Humidity... humidity falling to 10 to 15 percent this afternoon
with poor recovery overnight in areas where the wind continues.

* Timing... through 6 PM this afternoon.

* Outlook... winds will weaken this evening most areas but may
remain elevated locally near the Cajon Pass overnight. Humidity
will improve most areas overnight... but remain low in spots
where some wind continues.

* Impacts... any fires that start may exhibit rapid growth and
extreme fire behavior.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
