Watches & Warnings

Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 9:56 PM PDT Sep. 25, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 3 PM PDT Monday for
strong winds and low humidity for the mountains of Southern
California...

* winds... areas of northeast winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to
50 mph... strongest along wind-prone coastal slopes and below
canyons.

* Relative humidity... lowest of 8 to 15 percent.

* Outlook... increasing humidity... decreasing wind... and gradual
cooling Tuesday into Wednesday.

* Impacts... any fires that start may exhibit extreme fire
behavior and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not
recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong wind... low relative humidity... and heat will contribute to
extreme fire behavior.
