Watches & Warnings

Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 5:04 PM PDT Jul. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 715 PM PDT for
north central San Bernardino and southeastern Inyo counties...

At 501 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms were decreasing
over northern San Bernardino and southern Inyo County. Heavy rain
has fallen over Highway 127, especially near and just north of
Dumont Dunes, so flash flooding is still a concern.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shoshone, sr 127 near Dumont Dunes, Tecopa and Dumont Dunes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
