Watches & Warnings

Excessive Heat Warning
Issued: 3:59 AM PDT Jun. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Excessive heat warning remains in effect until 9 PM PDT
Sunday...

* high temperatures... 104 to 111 each afternoon.

* Impacts... a major increase in the potential for heat related
illness and even death. Those working or exercising outdoors
during the daytime, children and the elderly, and those
without access to adequate air conditioning will be most at
risk. A higher risk of tire blowouts. Delays or flight
cancellations possible.

* Outlook... gradually cooler conditions less week but still above
normal.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take extra precautions... if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
