Watches & Warnings

Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 12:24 PM PDT Sep. 25, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 3 PM PDT Monday for
strong gusty winds and low humidity for the Santa Ana Mountains...
the inland Empire... and inland Orange County...

* winds... areas of northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
mph... except 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 mph below the Cajon and
san gorgonio passes... and near the Santa Ana Mountains and
foothills through Monday morning.

* Relative humidity... lowest of 6 to 12 percent with poor
overnight recovery.

* Outlook... increasing humidity... decreasing wind... and gradual
cooling Tuesday into Wednesday.

* Impacts... any fires that start may exhibit extreme fire behavior
and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and heat will contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
