Tuesday...

* winds... west 20 to 30 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph.

* Timing... Monday through Tuesday afternoon

* location... strongest winds from the mountain crests to the
desert foothills Monday, then through and below passes and
canyons Monday night and Tuesday. Also, strongest winds below
morongo pass may impact Interstate 10 Tuesday morning.

* Visibility... may be reduced at times to 1 mile in blowing sand
and dust

* impacts... the winds will make driving difficult... especially for
motorists in high profile vehicles. Broken tree limbs possible
and other wind blown debris.
