... Flash Flood Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Monday evening...

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southwest California...
including the following areas... Coachella Valley... San Diego
County coastal areas... San Diego County deserts... San Diego
County mountains and San Diego County valleys.

* From 400 PM Sunday through Monday evening

* heavy rain will occur at times from midday Sunday through Monday
evening. Rainfall rates could locally reach or exceed one inch
per hour. This will bring a risk of flash flooding. Heavy rains
over recent burn scars could result in debris flows and
mudslides. In the mountains, a warmer moist air mass on Sunday
will bring heavy rain on top of previously fallen snow and
result in melting of snow which will increasing the risk of
flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

... Gale Warning now in effect until 4 am PST Tuesday...

* winds... northwest winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts to 25
kt... diminishing to below 20 kt by late afternoon.
Then... increasing southerly winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts to 35
kt late Sunday morning... becoming southwest late Sunday
evening... westerly Monday morning... and then northwesterly
Monday night.

* Waves/seas... combined seas 10 to 15 feet today... then seas
lowering to 8 to 13 feet tonight. Seas increasing again Sunday
to 12 to 16 feet... with rough seas continuing through Monday
night.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
