... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST this
morning...

* snow amounts... 2 to 4 inches of snow, mainly northern slopes.
Accumulating snow is likely across Interstate 5 near the
Grapevine this morning. Wet roads will become icy in spots as
colder air moves into the region this morning.

* Snow level... snow level around 3000 feet.

* Winds... .northwest to north winds increasing to 20 to 30 mph
with gusts to 50 mph... strongest through the Interstate 5 corridor.

* Main impacts... accumulating snow, ice, and strong winds will
likely create dangerous traveling conditions and travel delays
on roadways across the interior slopes, including Interstate 5
near the Grapevine.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and
use caution while driving. Check the latest Road reports before
departing. Keep an emergency kit in your vehicle which includes a
flashlight, food and water, extra clothes and blankets, and tire
chains.
