... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 am PDT this morning...

* winds and timing... areas of north to northeast winds 20 to 30
mph with gusts to 45 mph will continue through mid morning.
Winds will be strongest below passes and canyons from Malibu to
the Hollywood Hills, and through western portions of the Los
Angeles basin.

* Impacts... cross winds can make driving difficult, especially
for drivers of high profile vehicles and vehicles towing
trailers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.





Beach Hazard Statement
Issued: 3:26 AM PDT Mar. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Beach hazards statement remains in effect through Wednesday
afternoon...

* hazards... dangerous rip currents and sneaker waves are
expected on west facing beaches due to elevated and strong
surf of 3 to 6 feet.

* Impacts... there is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Sneaker
waves can suddenly wash people off of beaches and rock
jetties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as rip
currents... longshore currents... sneaker waves and other hazards
create life-threatening conditions in the surf zone. Caution
should be used when in or near the water.
