Special Statement
Issued: 4:49 AM PST Feb. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Expect slick and hazardous Road conditions for the Monday
morning commute...

Bands of mainly light snow showers will continue to move across
portions of northeast California and western Nevada through
mid-morning. Most areas will receive less than 1 inch, with
locally up to 2 inches in heavier snow bands.

Areas most likely to receive snow through 7 am include I-580 and
Highway 395 south of Reno to Minden, Highway 50 from Carson City
and Dayton eastward across west central Nevada, Highway 95 in
Churchill County, Highway 395 between Cold Springs and Honey Lake,
and around Pyramid Lake. Snow showers may also reach parts of
Interstate 80 before 7 am.

Even in areas where snow has diminished, watch for slick and icy
roads this morning. Allow extra time to reach your destination
and leave extra space between vehicles since it takes longer to
stop on slick roadways.
