Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 2:42 AM PDT Aug. 30, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 11 am this morning to
11 PM PDT this evening for gusty winds and low relative humidity for
fire weather zone 467...

* affected area... fire weather zone 467 central and western
Humboldt County.

* Winds... southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative humidity... as low as 7 percent.

* Impacts... the combination of gusty winds... low humidity...
and extremely dry fuels will create critical fire weather
conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures
can contribute to extreme fire behavior. In addition... extremely
dry fuels are in place over the fire zone.
