... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until noon PDT for
central Clark County...

At 820 am PDT, trained weather spotters reported flooding with water
up to two feet deep in the Elk Ridge subdivision in the northwest
Las Vegas Valley. Additionally, US 95 has been closed from Kyle
Canyon Road to skye canyon due to flooding.

The most intense rain has fallen across the northwest portion of the
Las Vegas Valley. Additional storms are still possibly across the
warning and some locations that may experience flooding in the next
few hours include... Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder
City, Lone Mountain, anthem, Summerlin, mountains edge, the strip,
Nellis AFB, Blue Diamond, downtown Las Vegas, East Las Vegas, Sam
Boyd stadium, the motor Speedway, Las Vegas Bay, southern Highlands,
aliante, lake Las Vegas and Spring Valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 945 am PDT for
northeastern Clark County...

At 808 am PDT, Clark County fire reported flooding occuring in
Logandale. While rain may begin to lighten in the next hour, runoff
from higher terrain will still impact low areas as well as creeks
and rivers.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Overton, Moapa Valley, Echo Bay, Valley of Fire, Callville Bay
campground, Overton beach, Echo Bay campground, Callville Bay,
Logandale, Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Bunkerville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.

northern Mohave County in northwestern Arizona...
south central Clark County in southern Nevada...

* until 200 PM PDT/200 PM MST/

* at 800 am PDT/800 am MST/, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain moving into the warned area, with very little
thunder/lightning. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Colorado City, Searchlight, Windy Point Campground, Diamond Creek
campground, Cottonwood Cove campground, Mt. Trumbull, toroweap
campground, Packsaddle Campground, Chloride, Kaibab, bar ten ranch,
Valentine, pipe Spring, Dolan Springs, Cottonwood Cove,
Cal-Nev-Ari, new Kingman-Butler, Tuweep and Peach Springs. Roads
impacted in Arizona include Stockton Hill Road, Pierce Ferry Road,
Antares Road, and Buck and doe Road. Roads impacted in Nevada
include Cottonwood Cove Road and Nelson Road.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of southern Nevada, including the following areas,
Las Vegas Valley, southern Clark County, and Spring Mountains-
Red Rock Canyon.

* Through this evening

* any thunderstorm that develops through this evening will be
capable of producing intense rainfall which could lead to flash
flooding in the watch area. Flooding of normally dry washes, low
water crossings, and poorly drained intersections are likely.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If you are in the watch area... you should closely monitor weather
forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should heavy
rain and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning is issued.
