Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 1:49 PM MDT Jul. 25, 2016 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northwestern San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* until 345 PM MDT

* at 147 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms 15 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Locations impacted include...
Storrie Lake State Park... Montezuma... El Porvenir... Gallinas... San
Geronimo and Mineral Hill.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not Camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep... narrow canyons.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms may result in
flooding of Road intersections and low-lying
areas. Waters may begin to run in normally dry arroyos.
