Special Statement
Issued: 3:33 AM MST Dec. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Much colder weather to arrive Wednesday through Thursday...

The second of two cold fronts this week will arrive on Wednesday
bringing a modified Arctic airmass and much colder temperatures
to the land of enchantment. Several locations across the northern
third of New Mexico will struggle to reach the freezing mark on
Wednesday and Thursday. Low temperatures Wednesday night will be
in the single digits and teens across much of the area. Wind chill
values in the single digits both above and below zero will be
common. Only slightly warmer conditions are expected Thursday
night.

Before the cold arrives... remember to insulate exposed pipes and
drain irrigation systems. Ensure that outdoor animals have warm
shelter and water dishes that will not freeze over. If
traveling... stock your emergency kit with extra blankets. Visit
weather.Gov/abq... listen to NOAA Weather Radio or monitor local
media for more specific information for your local area.
