* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
north central Bernalillo County in central New Mexico...

* until 730 PM MDT

* at 535 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms over north central Bernalillo
County... moving south over all of the Albuquerque Metro area.
A quick one inch of rain can fall in just 30 minutes of time
creating sudden... rapid flows in normally dry arroyos and several
inches of fast flowing water in streets.

* Locations impacted include...
Albuquerque... southwestern Rio Rancho... Corrales...
Los Ranchos de Albuquerque... Taylor Ranch... Paradise Hills...
Ventana ranch... Sandia heights...
Rio Grande Nature Center and North Valley.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 146 and 169.
Interstate 25 between mile markers 221 and 235.

southeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...

* until 715 PM MDT

* at 509 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. One to one and a half inches of
rain has already fallen over portions of southern Sandoval County
with another inch or so through 700 PM... with significant runoff.

* Locations impacted include...
Rio Rancho... Bernalillo... Corrales... Santo Domingo Pueblo...
San Ysidro... San Felipe Pueblo... Cochiti Pueblo... Kewa Pueblo...
Rio Rancho city center and Enchanted Hills.

This includes Interstate 25 between mile markers 236 and 262.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.
