Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 4:23 PM MDT Aug. 29, 2016 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
north central Torrance County in central New Mexico...

* until 615 PM MDT

* at 421 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms over McIntosh. One inch of rain in
less than one hours time has likely fallen over the area with
another inch of rain possible. Small hail may also be occurring.
This will create minor flooding and runoff along Highway 41 and
other local roads in McIntosh.

* Locations impacted include...
McIntosh.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms may result in
flooding of Road intersections and low-lying areas. Waters may
begin to run in normally dry arroyos.
