208 PM MST Mon Jul 25 2016

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
central Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* until 400 PM MST

* at 204 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms north over portions of central Coconino
County... mainly west of Oak Creek Canyon near the Yavapai County
line.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
White Horse Lake Campground... West Fork of Oak Creek... Cave Springs
campground... Pine Flat Campground and Sterling Fish Hatchery.

This includes the following streams and drainages... jd dam wash...
West Fork Oak Creek... Sycamore Creek... Spring Creek... Tule Tank
wash... Bear Canyon... volunteer wash and Railroad Draw.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle
into areas where water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads... make the smart choice: turn around... don't drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
