... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 630 PM MST for
Yavapai and Coconino counties...

At 415 PM MST, local law enforcement reported flash flooding along
Page Springs Road in Cornville. Up to two and a half inches of rain
have already fallen. Light rain continues at this time, but runoff
from earlier heavy rain will continue to cause flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clarkdale, Verde Village, Village at Oak Creek, Page Springs,
Bridgeport, Perkinsville, Cottonwood, Cornville, Jerome, Mingus
Mountain Campground, playground group campground, Potato Patch
campground, Tuzigoot National Monument and Dead Horse Ranch State
Park.

This includes the following highways...
State Route 260 between mile markers 207 and 210.
State Route 179 between mile markers 301 and 308.
State Route 89a between mile markers 331 and 366.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 545 PM MST for
Yavapai and Coconino counties...

At 408 PM MST, local law enforcement reported flash flooding at Bell
Rock trail, Baldwin loop trail down to Verde school, and Schnebly
Hill Road. Rainfall intensity has decreased. However, up to two and
a half inches of rain have fallen and will continue to cause flash
flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sedona, slide rock State Park, Manzanita Campground and Red Rock
State Park.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Dry Creek...
Turkey Creek... dry Beaver Creek... Oak Creek and Jacks Canyon.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 17 between mile markers 317 and 319.
State Route 179 between mile markers 309 and 313.
State Route 89a between mile markers 367 and 382.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Yavapai County in west central Arizona...
Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* until 530 PM MST

* at 230 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have
already fallen in the wet Beaver Creek drainage area. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Stoneman Lake, McGuireville, Montezuma well, Montezuma Castle
National Monument, Rimrock, Happy Jack, Lake Montezuma, wet Beaver
Creek Campground and v bar v visitors center.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Long Canyon...
Russell wash... dry Beaver Creek... Sawmill Wash... Grief Hill wash...
Beaver Creek... Brady Canyon... Rattlesnake Canyon... west Clear
Creek... Rarick Canyon... Walker Creek and Verde river.

This includes Interstate 17 between mile markers 291 and 295.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until midnight MST
tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Flash Flood Watch for all of Apache, Coconino, Navajo, Yavapai,
and northern Gila counties.

* Until midnight MST tonight

* monsoon moisture levels and instability will be at high levels
through this evening. Slow moving storms are producing 1 to 2
inches of rainfall. An upper level disturbance may move into
northern Arizona late in the day, which would enhance
precipitation coverage. Storm motion should be from the east-
southeast to west northwest.

* Areas of particular concern are the Grand Canyon, Antelope
Canyon, Havasu Canyon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that developing conditions may lead to
flash flooding within the watch area. People... especially those
located along area creeks... rivers or other flash flood prone
areas... should continue to monitor later forecasts and be
prepared to take immediate action should flash flood warnings be
issued.
