... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Thursday evening through
Saturday morning above 5500 feet...

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Winter Storm
Watch above 5500 feet... which is in effect from Thursday evening
through Saturday morning.

* Impacts... snow and blowing snow will cause periods of low
visibility and snow covered roads resulting into hazardous
driving conditions... especially above 5500 feet.

* Timing... two storms systems will impact the area later this
week. Storm number one will bring periods of moderate snow
Thursday evening into Friday morning. After a brief break
between storms... storm number two will bring periods of heavy
snow late Friday afternoon into late Saturday morning.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 8 inches above 6000 feet Thursday
evening into Friday morning. 8 to 14 inches above 5500 feet late
Friday afternoon into late Saturday morning. Two storm event
total of 11 to 22 inches above 5500 feet.

* Snow levels... lowering to 7000 feet Thursday afternoon... 6000
feet Friday morning... 5500 feet Friday afternoon... 5000 feet
Friday night.

* Winds... southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph Thursday
night into Friday morning... then southwest 25 to 35 mph with
gusts up to 50 mph Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow accumulations that may seriously impact travel. Gusty winds
and blowing snow is also possible. Those planning travel into the
