... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Tuesday evening through
Thursday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Winter Storm
Watch... which is in effect from Tuesday evening through Thursday
afternoon.

* Snow amounts... 6 to 10 inches in lower elevations with 1 to 2
feet in the mountains... except around a foot in northern Malheur
County.

* Snow levels... valley floors through much of the storm... except
in the southern two-thirds of Harney County... where snow levels
will generally be 5000 to 6000 feet Wednesday... falling to 4000
feet Thursday.

* Winds... generally southeast 5 to 15 mph.

* Timing... snow will begin Tuesday night and then end taper off
rapidly as it ends from west to east Thursday afternoon.

* Impacts... travel due to snow-covered roads. Elevations above
4000 feet may see blowing snow at times... especially on ridges.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
