* urban and small stream flood advisory for poor drainage areas

Jefferson County in southeastern Idaho...

* until 1245 PM MST Saturday

* at 1252 PM MST, emergency management reported ongoing snowmelt
issues causing flooding of rural roadways and impacting several
homes. Cooler temperatures through early next week should help to
mitigate snow melt and ease some of the flooding concerns through
the weekend.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A flood advisory means significant ponding of water in urban or
rural areas is occurring.

... The next round of snow and wind to make potentially difficult
travel for the Monday commute...

A storm system will begin to spread snow showers across the
Sawtooths, central mountains and Continental Divide region by
Sunday afternoon, with snow showers beginning across the
remainder of se Idaho Sunday night. In addition to the falling
snow, SW winds will become breezy Sunday into Monday, resulting
in areas of blowing snow. The combination of new snow and blowing
snow may result in snowy and icy surfaces Monday, potentially
producing hazardous driving conditions for the commute. You may
consider altering your plans to allow for extra time to reach your
destination Monday. Stay tuned for future forecast updates as we
continue to refine the forecast and resultant impacts as the
system approaches.
