Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:17 AM MST Feb. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to
5 am MST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect
from 2 PM this afternoon to 5 am MST Tuesday. The Winter Storm
Watch is no longer in effect.

* Timing... snow will begin falling by midday today, with moderate
snowfall at times this afternoon through late tonight.

* Total snow accumulations... 3 to 5 inches with locally higher
amounts.

* Winds/visibility... sustained west to southwest winds of 25 to 35
mph with gusts to 45 mph. Visibilities will be reduced under a
half mile at times in falling and blowing snow.

* Impacts... mainly to transportation. Travel will be difficult with
blowing and drifting snow, slick roads and poor visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
snow and strong winds will create restricted visibilities and
drifting snow along area roadways. Use caution when traveling...
especially in open areas.
