Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:17 AM MST Feb. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 2 PM this
afternoon to 5 am MST Tuesday...

* timing... snow will begin falling by midday today, with moderate
snowfall this afternoon through early Tuesday morning.

* Total snow accumulations... 6 to 10 inches.

* Winds/visibility... sustained west to southwest winds 20 to 30
mph with gusts to 40 mph. Visibilities will be reduced under a
half mile at times in falling and blowing snow.

* Impacts... mainly to travel and outdoor activities. Roads that
are open will likely become snow covered and impassable. Those
with recreation interests will likely see significantly reduced
visibilities leading to disorientation.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
snow and strong winds will create restricted visibilities and
drifting snow along area roadways. Use caution when traveling...
especially in open areas.
