... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Monday morning through
Tuesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Monday morning through
Tuesday afternoon.

* Timing... Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon

* total snow accumulations... 10 to 12 inches with higher amounts
on northwest facing slopes.

* Winds/visibility... southwest winds gusting in excess of 50 mph,
turning northwest with gusts in excess of 45 mph Monday evening
into Tuesday. Strong winds and snow could create near whiteout
conditions. Brutally cold temperatures will make dangerous wind
chill temperatures through the event.

* Impacts... mainly to travel. Roads could become impassable due to
drifting and blowing snow. Outdoor recreationist could become
lost and dioriented in near whiteout conditions. Very cold and
dangerous wind chill temperatures could lead to hypothermia to
those caught out in these conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... blowing snow and whiteout conditions that may impact
