... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this
evening above 8500 feet...

* locations include... Crested Butte and Taylor Park.

* Timing... snow showers will continue through this
afternoon... moderate to heavy at times.

* Snow accumulation... 4 to 8 inches.

* Winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Visibility... reduced to under a mile at times in moderate snow
showers.

* Impacts... the heavy snow will make many roads impassable and
may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the
snow on tree limbs and power lines. Strong winds will lead to
blowing snow, reduced visibility, and additional power
outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and/or
blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
