... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Tuesday evening
through Wednesday afternoon...

* location... the lower elevations of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains... Wet Mountains and Teller County.

* Cause and timing... a strengthening Pacific storm system will
spread snow into the region late Tuesday evening... with the
heaviest falling Tuesday night and Wednesday.

* Snow accumulation... snow accumulations of 1-2 feet with higher
amounts possible for the northeast facing slopes of the Sangre
de Cristo Mountains and Wet Mountains. Teller County could see
a foot or more. Snowfall amounts are highly subject to change
depending on storm track.

* Wind... northeast 15 to 30 mph.

* Impact... deteriorating conditions are expected Tuesday evening
with roads becoming slick and snowpacked Tuesday night through
Wednesday.
