Issued: 2:50 PM CDT Apr. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning in effect from midnight MDT /1 am CDT/
tonight to 6 PM MDT /7 PM CDT/ Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow... which is in
effect from midnight MDT /1 am CDT/ tonight to 6 PM MDT /7 PM CDT/
Sunday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Snow accumulations... 7 to 11 inches with isolated higher amounts

* timing... tonight through Sunday afternoon

* winds... gusts up to 40 mph expected for most of the event,
possibly as high as 55 mph during the day Sunday.

* Impacts... heavy wet snow is expected to fall tonight through
Saturday morning. Snow or a rain snow mix will fall through the
day on Saturday. Precipitation becomes all snow once again for
Saturday evening through Sunday. Expect reduced visibility below
one half mile at times due to heavy snow and blowing snow.
Power outages are likely from falling trees and power lines.
