Wind Chill Advisory
Issued: 2:21 PM MST Dec. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 11 PM this evening to 8 am
MST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Wind Chill
Advisory, which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to 8 am MST
Thursday. Temperatures 5 to 10 degrees below zero combined with
winds of 7-12 mph will lead to dangerous wind chills.

* Wind chill values of 15 to 25 degrees below zero are expected
across the plains of northeast Colorado

* impacts... frostbite can occur in 30 minutes or less with these
conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
