Issued: 11:02 PM MDT Jul. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Denver Colorado has issued a

* small stream flood advisory for...
northeastern Morgan County in northeastern Colorado...
southwestern Logan County in northeastern Colorado...

* until 200 am MDT

* at 1101 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen near
Merino, and additional heavy rainfall will continue through
midnight.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Merino, Willard and Atwood.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Sand Creek...
Pawnee creek... and baymer creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
