wind and low relative humidity for fire weather zones 201 and
205...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a red
flag warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect until 8 PM MDT this evening.

* Affected area... in Colorado, fire weather zone 201 Routt
forecast area and fire weather zone 205 Colorado River
headwaters.

* Winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative humidity... 10 to 15 percent.

* Impacts... fire starts could lead to quickly spreading fires
which will be difficult or impossible to control.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
