... Red flag warning in effect from noon Thursday to 1 am CDT
Friday for relative humidity of 15% or less, 20 foot winds of
20 mph or more, and very high to extreme fire danger...

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a red
flag warning, which is in effect from noon Thursday to 1 am CDT
Friday.

* Humidity... 8 to 15%.

* Wind... southwest 20 to 30 mph. Above 6000 ft... west winds 25 to
35 mph with higher gusts.

* Fire danger... very high to extreme.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Here are some things you can do to help prevent wildland fires:
observe outdoor burning restrictions for your area. Stow trailer
chains properly. Hold off on yard work or welding near dry
vegetation. Avoid driving in dry grass. Extinguish cigarettes
