The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Oso creek near Corpus Christi.
* From this morning to Tuesday afternoon... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 2:15 am Monday the stage was 6.7 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast: rise above flood stage by late this morning and continue
to rise to as much as 22 feet by this afternoon. The river will fall
below flood stage by tonight.

* At 20.0 feet moderate lowland flooding occurs, from the headwaters
near Violet Road, or farm to Market 24, to Oso Bay. Secondary roads
and low bridges near the creek are also flooded.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Nueces County in south central Texas...

* until 515 am CDT

* at 218 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area across Nueces County. Two to
three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Corpus Christi, Robstown, Port Aransas, Driscoll, Corpus Christi
International Airport, Ingleside, Bishop, Ingleside On the Bay,
Flour Bluff, christus spohn hospital south, Corpus Christi North
Beach, padre balli park, Bay area medical center, Banquete, padre
isles Country Club, Corpus Christi del Mar east Campus, Clarkwood,
Texas a&m University Corpus Christi, Annaville and Waldron Field.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
southern Nueces County in south central Texas...
central Kleberg County in south central Texas...

* until 400 am CDT

* at 157 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms over southeastern Nueces County into western Kleberg
County. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Driscoll, Corpus Christi International
Airport, Bishop, Flour Bluff, Corpus Christi Country Club, christus
spohn hospital south, Ricardo, Bay area medical center, Corpus
Christi del Mar west Campus, Cole Park, Driscoll childrens
hospital, Naval Air Station Cabaniss field, Corpus Christi del Mar
east Campus, Texas a&m University Corpus Christi, Waldron Field,
downtown Corpus Christi, Kingsville Naval Air Station and Kings
Crossing Golf course.

Additional rainfall of 2 to 3 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of south Texas, including the
following areas, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, and San Patricio.

* Until 9 am CDT this morning

* slow moving heavy showers and thunderstorms may produce rainfall
amounts of a 2 to 4 inches across portions of the watch area.
This may result in areas of flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
