the Flood Warning continues for
the Illinois River at Chewey.
* Until Monday afternoon, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 2:15 PM Sunday, the stage was 31.22 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the Illinois River at Chewey will continue rising to
near 32.3 feet this evening. The river is expected to fall below
flood stage late Monday morning.
* Impact... at 32.0 feet, disastrous flooding occurs from near fidler's
Bend to near Hanging Rock. This exceeds the December 2015 flood of
record, when the river reached 31.8 feet. Chewey bridge will remain
dry until 33.5 feet, but access to the bridge is cut off. Most
roads near the river, including Highway 10, are impassible, and
areas are isolated for an extended duration. Many permanent
campgrounds and Cabins are overtopped, particularly in the fidler's
Bend area. This is an extremely dangerous and life threatening
situation.

the Flood Warning continues for
the Illinois River near Watts.
* Until Monday morning, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 2:00 PM Sunday, the stage was 24.94 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring but the river is falling.
* Forecast... the Illinois River near Watts will continue falling to
below flood stage by early Monday morning.
* Impact... at 25.0 feet, very severe flooding occurs from the Arkansas
border to fidler's Bend. Severe flooding of the River Valley
raceway, including the permanent building, occurs. Many Cabins in
the fidler's Bend area are severely flooded. This is an extremely
dangerous and life threatening situation.

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1115 am CDT Monday for
Craig... Rogers... Delaware... Ottawa... Mayes... Adair... Nowata...
Wagoner... Cherokee and northern Muskogee counties...

At 1103 am CDT, the heavy rains have ended however widespread
rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches with local amounts near 8 inches
of rain have fallen. Several roadways have been reported closed due
to the flooding and many low water crossings are likely flooded. The
high water will be slow to recede.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
a dam floodgate release in...
west central Delaware County in northeastern Oklahoma...
northeastern Mayes County in northeastern Oklahoma...

* until 730 PM CDT Sunday

* at 733 am CDT, the grda reported the floodgates on the Pensacola
dam are to be opened at 8 am. This will cause flash flooding
downstream on the Neosho river.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
