The National Weather Service in Norman has extended the

* Flood Advisory for...
west central Caddo County in southwestern Oklahoma...
southeastern Washita County in western Oklahoma...

* until 1100 PM CDT

* at 712 PM CDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that although the heavy rain had ended... flooding of low-lying and
poor drainage areas will continue through the evening. Up to 4
inches of rain have already fallen. There could be higher amounts
around Cowden... Alfalfa and Eakly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Eakly... rocky... Colony... Cloud Chief... Fort Cobb Reservoir...
Alfalfa and Cowden.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... country roads... farmland... and other low lying
spots. Turn around... don't drown.

northwestern Caddo County in southwestern Oklahoma...

* until 1000 PM CDT

* at 702 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
One to three inches of rain have already fallen. Another inch or
two is possible before rain ends.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Geary... Hydro... Bridgeport... Greenfield and Omega.
