Benton County in northwestern Arkansas...
Madison County in northwestern Arkansas...

Washington County in northwestern Arkansas...

* until 400 am CDT Monday

* at 345 PM CDT, scattered showers will be possible late this
afternoon and evening across the warned area, however, additional
rainfall will not be significant. Recent widespread storm total
rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches with locally heavier amounts of
8 to 10 inches have fallen across northwest Arkansas. Several
roadways have been reported closed due to the flooding and many
low water crossings are likely flooded. US Highway 412 east of
Siloam Springs near the Illinois River is flooded and partially
impassable. Despite the fact that the heavier flooding rains have
ended, the flood waters will be slow to recede.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... This is a dangerous and life threatening situation...

the Flood Warning continues for
the Lee Creek near Van Buren.
* Until this evening, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 am Sunday, the stage was 405.3 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 401.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue falling to below flood stage by
late this afternoon.
* Impact... at 405.0 feet, tailwater park is inundated by high water.
Permanent structures in the park are damaged. Flood waters begin to
affect residences approximately two-thirds of a mile downstream
from the dam. Flood waters reach a permanent residence at the
campground near Rena Road and recreational vehicles in the
campground may be flooded. Rena Road is inundated by high water.
This is a dangerous situation.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Arkansas River at Van Buren.
* Until Tuesday evening, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 3:00 PM Sunday, the stage was 24.28 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the Arkansas River at Van Buren will continue rising to
near 24.7 feet this evening. The river is expected to fall below
flood stage Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 25.0 feet, extensive agricultural lowland flooding
occurs along the shoreline from Van Buren downstream to Lavaca.
Some rural roads near Lavaca are impassable. Much of Kelley Park
northwest of downtown Fort Smith is flooded.

Issued: 3:19 PM CDT Apr. 30, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* flood advisory for
the Mulberry river near Mulberry.
* At 2:30 PM Sunday, the stage was 11.4 feet.
* Action stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is below flood stage and will continue to fall
but will remain above action stage.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet, no flooding occurs but the river is swift and
dangerous. Backwater from the Arkansas River may affect low lying
areas near the first few miles of the Mulberry river.
