... Rapid rises on rivers starting Friday...

Rapid rises in rivers and streams east of the Colville river are
expected Friday through the weekend.

Rain will move into the eastern Arctic coast and eastern Brooks
range Thursday bringing the potential for around one inch of
rainfall by Friday evening.

As the rainfall makes its way into the drainages, rises of 1 foot
or more may occur in a short period of time. Rivers will rise
rapidly in the Brooks range to begin and spread to the coast.

Extreme caution should be used if you are on the rivers, or
attempting to cross the rivers.
