Heat Advisory
Issued: 5:14 AM CDT Jul. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening...

* heat index... afternoon heat index of near 100 to 109 degrees.
Overnight temperatures only falling into the low to mid 70s will
offer limited relief.

* Timing... expect the most dangerous heat from 12 PM to 8 PM
Friday.

* Impacts... prolonged exposure to hot weather may lead to heat-
related illnesses if precautions are not taken.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
