... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight CST
Friday night...

* timing... snow, occasionally moderate to heavy, will continue
overnight into the day on Friday. Snow will end during the
afternoon on Friday.

* Snow accumulations... snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are
expected with locally higher amounts possible.

* Winds... northerly winds 20 to 30 mph gusting around 35 mph
will cause considerable blowing and drifting snow with near
blizzard conditions possible at times late tonight into Friday
evening.

* Impacts... reduced visibilities, with near whiteout conditions
at times will make travel eventually become very hazardous to
nearly impossible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food,
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
