Issued: 3:21 AM CST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 am CST
Tuesday...

* timing... periods of light to moderate freezing rain are expected
this morning. As colder air slowly moves in from north to south
this afternoon... precipitation will mix with or change to sleet
and light snow. Light snow then should linger into Monday night.

* Ice accumulations... ice accumulations of around a tenth to a
quarter of an inch or more are possible.

* Snow and sleet accumulations... around 1 inch of snow is possible
in northeast Nebraska with only minor sleet accumulations.

* Impact... hazardous travel due to icy roads is likely. Sidewalks
and parking lots will be very slippery as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means that significant amounts of snow...
sleet and ice are expected or are occurring. This will make
travel very hazardous or impossible.
