... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* timing... snow, occasionally moderate, will continue into early
afternoon before tapering off later today.

* Snow accumulations... storm total snow accumulations of 5 to 8
inches are expected.

* Winds... northerly winds 20 to 30 mph gusting around 35 mph will
likely cause considerable blowing and drifting snow.

* Impacts... reduced visibilities, with near whiteout conditions
will make travel eventually become very hazardous to nearly
impossible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
